Strategic Acquisition Services Program
Our program is designed to help serious buyers find the right business in the right location at the right time.
Using our database technology, we target specific industries or geographic areas to find businesses for sale that are not formally listed with a broker. Our experience reveals that at a given time only 10% of businesses that might be available are listed due to concerns about confidentiality. We can help you reach these companies.
Our program includes:
Attending all meetings with you
Determining fair value
Help with preparing your offer
Help with financing and SBA prequalification
Since these companies are not already on the market, we are often the first one in the door. This gives us the advantage of avoiding competitive bidding against other buyers often resulting in a better price or terms.
We are experienced in working with Private Equity Groups (PEGs) to identify businesses that may fit their portfolio. We maintain a database of PEGs with acquisition and recapitalization criteria and contact them directly with appropriate opportunities. If you would like to be added to our list, please email your contact information and criteria to us at Bizbroker@hotmail.com
We work with SBA preferred lenders as well as Private Equity Investors to provide financing for acquisitions, business expansions and business start ups. SBA loan programs are designed to provide long term, fully amortized loans for business acquisitions. Terms range from 7 to 25 years with no pre-payment penalties. Working capital may also be included in the loaned amount. Acquisitions may or may not include real estate. While the business must meet eligibility requirements, the buyers work experience is also an important factor. The SBA also looks favorably on start up franchises in proven systems.

Private Equity Groups (PEGs) are also available for funding growth and acquisitions. This avenue is well suited for larger businesses who meet the acquisition criteria of the PEGs and wish to sell to employee groups or family members. Some of these investors will also consider putting their own management team in place in certain situations. Other opportunities for PEGs may include management buyouts (MBOs) and ESOPs.
As part of the process of reviewing your business prior to listing, we can often uncover areas of improvement that can potentially increase the value of your business now or in the future. In these cases we can help you make the necessary changes. In some cases, the changes are easy or cosmetic and do not delay listing your business. In other cases, it will make more sense to delay marketing you business until the required changes can take effect and increase value
At DBI, we sell successful businesses to successful clients time and time again.
